I was planning on sell them if I ever get this shopping cart to work. If I cant get it to work I could sell them on Ebay, I just hate giving them my money!!!!
We've been driving the Bronco daily, the mini van trany went out. I rebuilt the exhaust, it was hitting on everything. I also finished hooking up the Cartech wiring harness. Thats about it for now, until the trany in the van is fixed.
Good to hear your going to have a place to play with your toys. My two car is more like one with all the stuff I have in it. Im hoping if this loan mod goes through on the house that I'll be able to extend the rear of my garage to make more room.

The harness was already in the Bronco, just not finished. It looks like a pretty good kit. Doesnt look like it would take very long, the Bronco is so simple..

Mini Mini Update 8-30-09
Hi Everyone
I spent a little time on the dash tonight. I capped the ends and extended the top. I had to do this to be able to make the mold solid one piece.
I'll be able to just left the plug/dash out of the mold.
One end capped...
capped and extended....
right side extension and cardboard template...
More to come....
Charlie

Mini Update 9-3-09
I made a little more progress on the dash tonight. Laid the first and second layers of bondo. Many more layers to come.. Bummer
What you think of the 67 work bench in the back ground..
Hey, thats me... Who took that picture????
The dash was so much easier to work on once I C-clamped the it to the bench...
cheers

How;s she coming??
I;m trying to visualize your hood, well, a much lower version of it, on my 62.
I;ve been looking & looking at many suppliers for some kind of hood, cowl, bubble, i don;t want to go with the T-bolt bubble type hood
I just don;t think i have the ability needed to make a "tamer" version of your hood/cowl affair
So, why don;t i just send you my spare hood, & you can make me up a 2-3" high version of yours! like your not busy enough
Looking forward to more pics of your build, I just follow along in amazement at your skills _________________ Roy |

Thank you Roy..
Im kinda learning as I go, believe it or not.. As for the hood, I think Im going to make a fiberglass scoop. Im having to much trouble working the sheet metal. I'll see how things go with making the mold for the dash. If it comes out OK, I'll give making the scoop a try!!.
cheers

I hear ya on how hard body work is. I do it everyday but when I did my car I was worn out. Work from 7 to 5 and came home and worked on the car till 10 or 11 for 2 weeks straight. Make that mold strong so you can make and sell some dashes and you forget the sore muscles putting that extra $ in your wallet. _________________ Mike

Yea, back in the day, when I did the body work on MDNANGL I had a friend doing most of the work and it was still a lot of work. Too many damn lines on this car.. LOL
I'll be doing some more work on the dash this weekend. Iv ordered some gel coat from the supplier "stang1227" posted on his thread and some Acrylic Urethane paint from Summit.
I bought a Shopping Cart program from my web host. Im hoping to get it going FINALLY!!! I have a few items to post on it as well as the dash.
cheers

When I build parts to make molds from Ive always just use the primer as the final coat, not paint or gel coat. Wet sand it to 1500 and polish it. Put a little Carnuba wax on it and spray a coat of Part All and its ready to start making a mold. Ive built 100's of goalie masks that way, seems to work fine. Maybe Im just cheap Let me know if you need some help. Looks like you got it under control. _________________ Mike

Man, I wished I had found this site earlier. I've got a '63 I'm building into a Nostalgia Super Stocker, I cut the dash out prior to making this decision and I plan on building a mold of a stock dash so I can make a removable dash panel for my car, would've loved to just buy one. _________________ Larry Hampton |

Yeah, but NSS rules require a factory looking dash and I don't think your's would qualify (but it does look nice).
Plus, I'm trying to retain the nostalgia look, the car will be it's original Corinthian White, the Bogart wheels I've chosen look a lot like the old Motor Fly wheels of the 60's, the car will get lettered like a 60's Super Stocker. I will have ladder bars and coil overs and I'll be running a 28x10.5 slick, but the fiberglass bumpers will get painted with Alsa Corp chrome paint to hopefully look like polished aluminum bumpers.
The full roll cage will be tucked up as tightly as possible so as not to be so noticed from the outside (thankfully it's a post car), I have to run a headline in the car (pretty stupid if you ask me) so the cage will be welded together, painted, then the roof will be reattached (oh yeah, the roof will bolt on to the car/cage) so that the 'moly cage can sit tight against the headliner.
I've got a 428 block and a Dove Highriser Tunnel Wedge intake manifold so far for the engine, the heads will be Blue Thunder High Risers and I'll be running a 4.25" stroke crank with 6.7" rods and a solid roller cam with T&D adjustable rocker arms. The 660's will be sent off to Pro Systems so Patrick James can work his magic on them, I think they put 850 base plates on them.
A Jerico will back up the engine with a McLeod Soft-Loc disc. The rear end is a big web 9" and the axles are 40 spline gun drilled with lightened flanges, overkill but I got them in a trade. Afco shocks on the rear and as of right now, I plan on fabricating upper and lower control arms to eliminate the strut rods, I'll make two sets, the rules state that any bolt on suspension that is commercially available is legal. _________________ Larry Hampton |
